Trees from France
Delivered by DPD early (before breakfast) this morning, the delivery driver carried it round to the patio and propped it up against the wall. There was nothing on the box to indicate which way up - clearly it would have probably been better on its side, rather than propped upright. It's been en route for a week, we were a bit worried about the poor trees. I took photos in case I needed to contact the website regarding their condition. But once unpacked they seem fine.
One is a variety of Photinia - Pink Crispy - that I have hankered after for a year or more, after seeing one in someone's garden. The other is Eucalyptus nicholii. Neither was readily available from any local Garden Centre we've visited, or any of the Irish mail order companies.
After unpacking them, we watered them and have left them to recover for a few days before planting.
After breakfast, I did a session on the static cycle. And after lunch I started a job I've been considering for a while - I started going through all my blips and improving/adding to my tags. I managed to do the first year. Only another 10 to go! Going through that first year brought back many memories.
