Dolly's Day

Monster

My blip is part of an old rusty pair of garden secateurs I came across when I was having a clear out.   I thought it looked like the head of a monster (Ive added an Extra showing all of the seceteurs..... think they are fit for the bin). Thanks to Ingeborg  for hosting the Abstract Challenge... the theme is  'unexpected abstract'.

Ive had a much needed nice quiet day.  Not done much apart from a couple of loads of washing and a few other light chores.

A new vacuum cleaner was delivered... a cordless Vax. I had a discount code from Martin Lewis ( Moneysaving expert ) so I got it at a reduced price.  After charging the battery I had a quick test.  I'm pleased with it - its lightweight, easy to move around and picks up the cat hairs very well.

I didn't go to slimming group this evening I haven't been "on plan " all week so I know I will have gained weight.  I have just needed comfort food... and chocolate  - while my leg has been so painful.  Hopefully I can get motivated to eat healthily now that the leg is doing better.  Its been a good day today and its been a lot less painful.

You won't believe it but the mystery of the  " missing "parcel has been solved.  Its a long winded saga. .On 21st June I bought something from Ebay.  A few days later the seller messaged saying she realised she had put the wrong postcode on the parcel.  We both hoped that the person who received it would either post it on to me or return it to the sender. Neither of those things happened so on 8th July the seller refunded my money.  We both assumed the parcel was lost for ever.  However  today she received the parcel back at her house.  And it was THE PARCEL.  The one where I got a card through my door on 11th July asking for a £7 fee to receive the parcel due to insufficient postage.  I paid the fee and had a lot of hassle with Royal Mail and eventually got my money back   I didn't think it would be the Ebay parcel because it had been so long since it was sent and I had already had a refund from the seller and assumed the parcel was lost. And of course Royal Mail don't give any clues as to who sent the parcel ... and the seller had put the correct postage on the parcel.  Anyway the seller quickly relisted the item today just for me... and Ive bought it AGAIN... and shes sending it tomorrow.  Hopefully with the correct postcode this time.
