Smithy is 18 today.

The day started with an early, and very good yoga class.  Followed by a canal walk, and cup of tea with mum.
Later I met my sister in law at the National Library of Scotland, I enjoyed cycling into town- definitely the best way to travel at the moment.  We sat and chatted and had a bite to eat, before going to the Love Your Library exhibition, which was super.  Then we were off to the Book Festival to see Lucy Mangan, who gave a good light hearted chat about cultivating a love of reading.
The day wasn't finished yet, we still had friends to meet for a meal, and ACDC to listen to in the garden-they were loud and clear.
Smithy has had a very good birthday, and a gift and cards were left for him by neighbours
