Solar powered water pump

At our allotment we still have pumps to get water out of the ground…no running water or taps. I have only recently noticed that one pump is now solar powered and only a few plotholders are ‘entitled’ to use this one. I think it is an experiment that one of those plotholders has funded as many of the very old cast iron pumps are wearing out.

Did lots of watering before driving west for a few days away and a wedding on Saturday.
