Sociable

Straight to The Trav after the overnighter at work, for the 11am performance of Standing In The Shadows Of Giants. It was fine, but nothing more, well performed but perhaps a little perfunctory.

Out again early evening to see what we could get in to at Monkey Barrel, and, after summat of an interminable bus journey from ours into town, we arrived in time to join the queue for Urooj Ashfaq. And she was pretty decent without being fantastic but she did play to perhaps the most multicultural crowd we've been part of all festival which certainly added to the experience.

We checked out the newly-opened-this-week Social by Matto near Haymarket on the way home (being big fans of their pizza restaurants) and I have to say that we were disappointed by both the pizza and the very small small plates at this one. We gave an honest answer when they asked us "How was everything?" and they knocked 25% off the bill at least. Think we'll stick to the restaurants!

Off the bus and AC/DC had just started at Murrayfield. An absolute bona fide classic playing as we walked up our road...
