Verona Day 2
I slept for 12 hours! Sound asleep, through thunder and lightning, till 7am.
It was raining this morning, so we set off with hotel umbrellas to catch the first Blue Hop On bus, which went over the river, it was just a minibus, to enable it to go round the tiny streets.
It was great, but the weather had closed in when we were at the viewpoint, so we’ll try again tomorrow - we got ‘48 hour tickets’ (which is a misnomer).
We then took the other bus, a double decker, and as the rain had cleared, we hopped off part way round, and walked back through town. I found the ice cream shop that I’d been in last time, where they serve it as a flower!
Back to the hotel in the afternoon for a rest, and a glass of fizz. Actually, three glasses of fizz, but they’re small. We’ve got salad, cheese, biccies, fruit and yoghurt, so no need to be eating out all the time.
Nabucco tonight!!
