Escaped

Couldn’t sleep again last night. I may have gotten four hours. Kristen has decided against the two houses we visited last night. Thank you, Lord. She has a new list. That was definitely on my mind when I went to bed. I finally got out of bed by 8:00. Enjoyed breakfast and prayers in the crisp air and winds. Hubby and I saw a Monarch butterfly at the same time. The big gust of wind must have carried it away because it disappeared as I headed to blip it. I went out back to find it but no luck. This beautiful Rose of Sharon bloom has grown outside the deer netting around the bush. It looked beautiful next to that giant purple basil volunteer plant. The doctor’s office called back and said I could bring Momma in at 2:00. We got her up, she ate breakfast, showered and was ready to go. One of our friends, who also cared for her demented mother, brought by a book “The 36-Hour Day” that she says kept her sane during those years. Hubby drove to the doctor’s office since I was so sleepy. The doc decided to put a large bandage on Momma’s arm in hopes of keeping her hands off the sores. She gave her the first of several monthly B12 shots. Blood tests indicate her B12 levels are way too low. Her new meds may be causing her upset tummy so we are adding more yogurt to her daily diet. Otherwise, we ruled out more serious medical conditions. She understands my concerns and gave me her personal cell number. Hubby dropped me at the grocery store and took Momma to get an ice cream. We got home at dinner time, missing lunch. I put away all the perishable groceries and made everyone a dinner plate. We are blessed to always have a variety of healthy food on hand for a quick meal. But I am running out of original meal ideas suited to Momma’s soft food needs. Hubby finished mowing the lawn and putting everything away after dinner. Another day in the books. Wishing you a little less anxiety. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. “In biblical times, people saw this flower (the Rose of Sharon) as a symbol of God’s love and care. Just like the Rose of Sharon blooms in harsh environments, believers are encouraged to stay faithful no matter what happens. The flower reminds them to trust in divine guidance and remain hopeful.” - Spirituality Essence
