Dahlia
Our weather is cool and rainy. It was very pleasant sitting on the porch during breakfast. My dahlias still have many blooms. This one is vibrant. I made Momma’s breakfast but she wasn’t very hungry. She is still complaining with her arm. I am making an appointment with her doctor to get advice on what to do to help it heal. We weren’t at all productive today. Hubby sat with Momma while I went to physical therapy. The therapist worked that calf muscle again. It won’t be the last time. I went to look for new glasses but could not find frames I really like. We have tons of places I can check out. We are going with Kristen to look at a home she thinks she wants. Going to ask for Divine Inspiration on this situation. The interior is beautiful. But, it is in a flood area, built on very high risers with the need for additional flood insurance at around $1,000 annually. She will have .18/ acre. I know she will hate being there soon after she moves in. The homes are way too close together and she’ll have many steps to climb just to get into her home. But once she gets an idea, she rarely can see the whole picture. She has lived in 10 homes in 20 years, always improving their accommodations immensely. And once she moves in, she usually remodels on a large scale. Hubby has become quite the woodworker with all the experience he’s gained. He has pre-warned her his floor installation days are past. We’ll see how the walk through goes. We plan to go to dinner afterwards. Wishing you a less stressful evening. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit. “August is ripening grain in the fields blowing hot and sunny, the scent of tree-ripened peaches, of hot buttered sweet corn on the cob. Vivid dahlias fling huge tousled blossoms through gardens and joe-pye-weed dusts the meadow purple.” - Jean Hersey
