Wednesday: Petworth
We’re on a little mini break just an hour and a bit down the road, in Sussex. It’s an excellent reminder that you don’t have to travel far to have a change.
Our first stop was Petworth House, a fantastic National Trust property. We were lucky today in that the private bedrooms were open to the public. We also had a nice walk in the gardens and made the obligatory visit to the second hand bookstore where purchases were made.
We then headed to our Airbnb to check in. We’re basically staying in an airship in a field with no wifi and mobile reception only under one tree at the edge of the property, hence the backblipping. Blips of the airship will follow.
We had a great night, sitting outside, barbecuing, and listening to music. We shall not mention the fact that I didn’t win a single game of Backgammon.
I’ve added an extra of Petworth House.
