Speckled Wood

A speckled wood butterfly on the branch of a wild rose by the river this afternoon. It wasn't really this muted but I quite liked the effect. 

I think I've got into a muddle with tagging wildflowers for the WFW challenge so I'm leaving any such blips till next week. 

In the extra our weekend house guest. Archie is a westie x yorkie ie two terriers in one. He's such a sweet dog though. His owners, J&A who live along the road,  are in Edinburgh for a weekend of festivalling. No place for a wee dog! Flora isn't hugely impressed but actually they get on fine. 

Courgette surprise for dinner again tonight. Endless surprises. Have a good weekend.
