Repairs (diary blip)

I've been practicing my old skills today, repairing one of the timers for the church clock - it inhibits the chimes overnight*.  This afternoon a different type of electronics - getting at the connections for the audio cable which connects my neighbour's record deck to their amplifier.  

The motor runs ok now after the previous repair so worth a look at why the audio crackles when the cable is moved.  Probably down to the overly tight cable strain relief widget .... 

The women's rugby world cup starts this evening - so - a minor factoid ... 

Ellie Kildunne, one of England's high speed backs is a photographer. 
We'll probably see more photographs of her rather than by her - she might be quite busy for the next two or three weeks :-) 

*alarm set for 22:14 to make sure it has done what it is supposed to ...
