Lost in Thought

By steveng

The past was monochrome

Today we met up with Loose Canon, Technophobe, Fitzbilly and Mrs FSB for a blipmeet at Cotswold Airport (was RAF Kemble) and after 'brunch' a walk around Tetbury.

My blip is a view through the air intake of a Blackburn Buccaneer, onto the tail of a Hawker Hunter and a 747.   The airfield is great fun if, like me, you enjoy old aeroplanes and will probably be the venue for another blipmmet when the Bristol Britannia is open for visitors :-)

Tetbury is interesting, not least for a fascinating mix of architectures and a visit to the Highgrove shop.  Loose Cannon and I were discussing the watercolours on display (a snip at £2500 - £7000+) and possibly gained the disapproval of one of the sales staff when our opnion didn't quite coincide with hers.
Hint - Gill's watercolours generally have horizontal horizons :-)

In the extra, a different variety of high speed engineering.

Many thanks to everyone who called in on my Wide Wednesday effort (yesterday) and left comments and awards :-)
