Too Many Choices and None of them Good

Momma woke up by 8:00. That made it easier to start our day. Hubby had an appointment for a cardio CT scan. We do not anticipate a problem but his doc wanted a “ look see”. He picked up meds, dropped off donations at the thrift shop and came home. We’d finished breakfast, were dressed and ready to take care of eye business. First, we picked up Momma’s new glasses. Hopefully she will get used to them. While there, I looked for new frames. I really do not like today’s frames: they are either too large, too pointy or simply wire frames. We headed to one more store. Hubby and I looked at every pair of frames. Finally, he suggested I just keep the ones I have now/love, and that’s what I did. My new lens should be here by 2 September. So glad that decision is behind me. We made pizzas for lunch; Momma had chicken soup. She was tired from being awake all day and took a couple hours nap. Hubby did also. Kristen called and wanted to talk about other home options. We found a lovely home in a currently sought after neighborhood. Only problem is that it is close to the worst part of our county. So sad that she can’t feel safe there. I understand. My sister found her two more prospects. She’s checking them this evening. Pope Leo asked us to spend time today fasting and in prayer for world peace. Parker and his best buds met at school for a sunrise prayer service. I really love those young men. We’ve heard that this generation of young people are turning back to faith-filled lives. Wonderful news. Wishing you your own great news this weekend. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. Hopefully I can find spare time to read your journals. “Sometimes you’ve got to put your realistic glasses on and see who you are.” — Will Muschamp
