The ubiquitous GWR 10 ton van
So ubiquitous that they can be found in a garden in Bearsted. I knew a vehicle was hiding in this garden. It’s only since lots of vegetation has been removed and the van in all its glory is exposed. I wonder if there really are trains around the back?
A productive afternoon clearing out the garden shed. Sorting all the stuff we’re not taking with us into piles for recycling at the tip and stuff to offer on the local Facebook community hub. Pleased to say many of the items I listed have already been claimed.
Called in at the allotment for what might be the penultimate times to catch up with the people who are looking after it for me. The insides on giving me sweet corn, beetroot, potatoes and french beans. They were all good, the sweetcorn especially so.
I’ve written to the council to say I’m giving up the plot in March. They’ve written to be added to the waiting list. As there is no waiting list they are able to carry on with my old plot. I’m delighted for them!
Passed all the checks for the Cockermouth house. Have engaged solicitors and surveyors. Things are in the move.
