Hot. Again.

Gosh how sick of this are we now? 99F/37C late this afternoon (when it's the hottest here in western Oregon). I headed out early and got a good walk in at the Tualatin Hills Nature Park, about a 15 minute drive from my house. I got a good, long walk in before it began to feel too hot. I was struck by the cool beauty of the Big Cedar Grove - old Western Red Cedars. These have existed here long before the park was created. 

Home again, I decided to get a quick pedicure before my son and the grands came for a visit. After lunch, we got into the pool and stayed there for at least 2 hours! Divine...and clearly the only place to be on a very hot day!
