Market

A very enjoyable morning dog walk.  The sea was active.  The rolling of the shingle had a choral quality to it.

Took my trundle trolley to the market.  Met Pam and Penny walking their labs.  Pam said the trolley is referred to as a Charlie basket because you look a Charlie with it.  So my shopping trips Charlie will be accompanying me.

The flower stall was colourful this morning.  The fruit and vegetable stall had a lot on offer, and I purchased a lot.

I bought a tall, narrow cylinder from another stall made from woven banana leaves.  This will be for Mr's walking poles and stick.  He's been leaving them sticking out diagonally in the hall which he is likely to trip on or the hound chew them.

A resin soap dish arrived in the post from etsy with a resin 'S' on a key ring an extra unordered item.  The soap dish is transparent with small shells set into the resin.  It's in the downstairs loo.

Prepared roasted vegetables with halloumi.  This oven is very efficient compared to my previous, what seems rather primitive oven.
The vegetables cooked evenly too.

The apple crumble is delicious.  The apples from the garden are very good though not the usual large bramley apple size, some being the size of a lime.

Mr had left within easy reach for the hound a  soft yellowish plastic material sponge with a dark green thin abrasive layer on the top.  I found it upstairs broken into small pieces.  I just hope he didn't ingest any.  My encouragement to Mr to use less harmful to the environment and the hound, biodegradable sponges, falls on deaf ears even when I provide a green alternative.

My refrain daily echoes Bono - 'I still haven't found what I'm looking for,' as I search boxes for elusive cookbooks and particular dishes.

Pleasant evening everyone.
