Doesn't feel like Saturday
It didn't feel like Saturday today but I couldn't say what day it felt like.
I thought I slept well, not waking up but the fatigue I felt this afternoon makes me wonder! I had to have an hour's nap.
In the morning I did some tidying up in all of our garden areas; it was mostly seeds off the trees - and there were lots of them. I started sweeping them up but then Terry suggested using one of his industrial hoovers out of the garage and this was much better. I hoovered a lot of husks from the bird seed as well and, accidentally, a few stones! Looking at how many husks were there off the sunflower hearts I realise jsut how fast the seeds are going down at present. There are at least 10 goldfinches coming, some blue tits, sparrows, robins and probably some great tits (they are usually about), Not seen the greenfinches this last couple of weeks but they are never there long.
A book that was delivered last week was a bit of a surprise as I didn't remember ordering any books at the time (they come next day from Amazon if new and this was new). However, the title rang a bell and I realised that I read this book very recently! I was annoyed with myself for ordering it twice and wondered how I'd done that (I have a record of books read and books that I have but not yet read). I thought, ah well, I can give it to someone. I would have been passing on the copy I had already, mind.
Anyway, when I looked into it I realised this was the book that went missing. In June I ordered this book and we had a message that it was delivered and left in our letterbox - went to check - nothing. Contacted amazon and they said to look around as I will most likely find it. No! I looked around and it was not delivered here. I asked my neighbours and nobody had taken it in. We had been in anyway so I would have heard it being delivered.
To cut a long story short, amazon replaced it free of charge. Lo and behold I open a package and although it's weeks later, it's looking like this was the original one that never arrived. Unfortunately I had already disposed of the cardboard packaging and label in the recycling so could not check if there was a clue as to where it had been. I always thought it must have been delivered to the wrong address and that maybe someone would pop it thought to us. Anyway, I contacted amazon to say it ahs turned up and they said to keep it.
Filled the bird bath which was empty again and watered the pot plants. Not done much since lunch though.
