White Hart

We went to the Dartmouth Royal Regatta today. There were lots of things going on , especially for children. It was a perfect day to be in this very beautiful place, a favourite of ours and everyone who ever visits it.
The Dartington Morris side were dancing in the gardens near the bandstand, with Leonard, the White Hart. Leonard Elmhirst and  Dorothy Elmhirst founded the Dartington Hall Trust in 1932. Later , in 1968, the Morris side was formed and Leonard suggested that the team use the Dartington crest of the white hart on the red rose.
