litl hikes

I decided to tackle a number of small jobs around the outside of the house and garden. I’d noticed a second flowering of the purple daisy-like plant at the front and thought I could make it my blip. Also to say what has done very well this year (heuchera, crocosmia and geranium/cranesbill) and what hasn’t (lupins, london pride and hostas ).

I wanted my blip before I started work. Macro lens on the camera and chose the flower. Then I spotted the bug. Excitement . . . don’t think I’ve blipped a shield bug before. I got a few more shots as it came down (one in extras).

Then the outside doors, door frames and a few window frames washed, leaves raked and stone chippings redistributed. At the end of that my back was telling me I’d done enough.

I had a soak in the bath later.
