Feeling stiff after all the bending in the garden yesterday.

A hot sunny day was forecast followed by rain overnight. I took two bags of garden greenery and a bucket of soil to the recycling site then drove to Grasmere. It wasn’t much after 8 o’clock and all the free parking spaces I could see from the main road were full. An indication of how busy it would be later.

There was plenty of parking in the village. I wasn’t capable of anything beyond a wander around the centre. The berries on the yew trees in the churchyard were glowing in the morning sun but I don’t think the photo has done them justice.

Then a relaxing day at home with spells in the garden enjoying what might be the last sunshine for a while.
