Sunset over Blencathra

I don't usually see interesting evening skies from the house but, tonight, we had to go to the lodge to help the visitors with something. As we were coming home the sun was a huge red ball near the horizon.

I suggested a vantage point but it was obvious we were too late, we'd missed it. Just as we turned to come home I saw the trees on the horizon so we stopped and got a few shots.

We chatted to tourists who had also stopped to take shots.
