Fog and cloud

I have an internal clock which wakes me one minute before the alarm goes off; whenever I have set it for. If I could but guarantee it....

Anyway, got changed and started out on my run, and was greeted by this sky from the cliff edge. The colours of the soon to occur sunrise were muted by clouds and also by sea fog over the Hauraki Gulf, which obscured Kawau Island (which is below this shot).

Nothing I saw later in the run compared with this.

Back to the city for an afternoon in the office, and now home to post this, enjoy a glass of Squawking Magpie Syrah from the Gimblett Gravels of Hawkes Bay, and dinner with S and daughter J, who just popped in and needed only one invitation to join us.
