The other end

of the day after yesterday.

Woke in the dark of the morning and chose against a run before going across to the third last day of the locum. Then the day, enjoyable as it was, went a bit later than usual, meaning I would have been running amongst all the homeward bound commuters.

Instead, I stood on the deck of the apartment and took photographs as the sun fell towards the horizon. Mostly it was hidden by clouds, giving striking colours and crepuscular rays. Bands of sun on the water of the upper Waitemata harbour. The sky still blue above the clouds.

The morning of the day before today gave me a sky in which the mix of rising sun, fog and clouds created a most unusual image. This evening, the photo is more usual, and none the less striking for all that. Well worth looking at large

Will aim for a run tomorrow morning.
