The Salmon of Knowledge
I was up promptly, this morning, to drive across to Sheffield, where I picked Abi up from her new digs so that we could get to a hospital appointment for her.
There was, inevitably, a bit of a wait before we saw the consultant, who was very good and listened attentively to Abi, who has been suffering a bit recently, before prescribing some meds for her (including a staggering eight steroid tablets to be taken every morning!).
After that, we headed back to Salford, where I did a bit of work, caught up with the Minx when she returned from the office, and then caught the bus out to Media City with Abi to The Salmon Of Knowledge.
Abi had enjoyed a 'spice bag' in Dublin and discovered that this pub sold them, hence our visit, although we were both let down by the actual offering here: plenty of chips in the bag but barely any chicken.
But the Guinness was good, so we had a couple of pints and then took the tram into town to meet Milly at Tariff and Dale, as she was arriving from London. And that was very pleasant!
