From the Cross Keys

If you've ever taken the beautiful drive between Sedbergh and Kirkby Stephen, you'll have passed the Cross Keys, once a pub, but now a tea room.

This morning, I met Chris and Steve there to take a walk followed by some lunch. This is not our usual MO, but Steve has been suffering a bit with an injury, so this was a gentle reintroduction.

The route, as usual organised by Chris, was gorgeous: a circular route of around five miles, with some spectacular views.

We followed that with lunch at The King's Head in Ravenstonedale, which was excellent, after which I set off Salford via Kirkby Lonsdale.

This evening, we went to see Paolo playing at Band On The Wall, for a gig he was promoting as well as playing. I;d invited Charlie and Hannah to come along with me and the Minx, to help with numbers, but I needn't have worried as the place was packed!
