Glanworth day 1

A big day in Glanworth, North Cork where I was invited to do a talk for Heritage Week. What an amazing welcome - we stayed in that little bungalow, snuggled in between the ruins of a church and the ruins of a rather amazing castle. A bottle of prosecco and a box of chocolates welcomed us - and yes there was the hot tub!  First I had to do the business and again was warmly welcomed when we went to do a recce at the venue, showered with fresh scones and homemade brownies!  Glanworth Heritage Group have just restored their historic well which had languished in the briars for many years and is now accessible and looking good. The talk went very well after an initial shock of the projector adding massive diagonals tripes to the image! A slight panic and a new projector was found and then all was well. More cakes and tea afterwards and then we repaired to the hot tub.  Bliss.
