Glanworth day 2
A lot of derelict and empty houses in Glanworth but this is a novel way of cheery them up a bit. No that Labrador pub is not real but a very convincing photo - each window of this house had something interesting.in it. And another somewhat finer derelict house in the extra - on the way home we stopped in Annesgrove, a massive estate on the edge of the river Awbeg, planted with all sort so interesting things. The house is empty and boarded up at the moment but there are eventual plans to re-open it, now in the care of the OPW.
We headed back to Skibbereen where Finola had a short film premiering - also for Heritage. Week and also made by Wombat Media., the subject - Harry Clarke, a stained glass artist. Really well done and I hope eventually I can do links to it. My link seems to have vanished too - I think they're hoping to put them in for festivals which means you can't have them on a public platform until they've been screened. A shame.
