In the garden

I had an appointment this morning with a dermatologist. As I approached the office, I saw a walled-off area with a lovely garden, benches and picnic tables off of the walkway. . It’s a beautiful place for the employees of the large medical building to enjoy their lunch breaks.

I woke up to the Texas rangers in full bloom. They’re like a barometer, portending rain in the forecast. A flash flood warning was just issued for this afternoon, so the plants may be right. It’s been a terribly dry monsoon so every little bit helps.

I didn’t do much over the weekend. My birthday was Friday. I stayed at home most of the time except for going out to lunch. The server gave me a giant cookie and my neighbor brought a piece of cake when she came over for the baseball game. Talked to brothers, too. Quiet but pleasant.

There’s no theme for Mono Monday so I’m really looking forward to seeing the entries this week. My head is a little more screwed on so far so I will try to get the results out by Thursday.
