Channelling Mull

Or a demented rabbit.

I slept pretty well and woke up early because I had told myself, multiple times, that I was swimming this morning.

Glad I did as the pool wasn't busy and I had a good swim and a lot of chat with Danny.

Home to do some finance admin and then get ready to go to another funeral.  It was so warm a jacket wasn't needed. It was a huge turn out at Mortonhall for neighbour Vivienne who was only 62.  A very moving ceremony with two of her children speaking, eloquently.  Though she lived opposite and my house looks into hers when I sit in the front I didn't really know here.  But my memories are seeing her in shorts walking the dog.

There were a few neighbours there. I was with Y and G and after coming back to get the car we went to the burial.  Again it was so sad.,  Her mother was distraught.  Then to Liberton Golf Club which wasn't so good.  The three of us had a drink and sat and chatted but apart from a cup of tea there was no food (well there was food but not nearly enough).

Home, I sat in the garden sewing and listening to R4, off and on.  Around 5 I had to go and do something about packing for tomorrow.  as I have the car, it won't be tidy packing.  I always have that tendency to just 'throw things in the back'.

According to the weather forecast this long, hot summer is coming to and end and it doesn't look like I'll get great weather but hey ho, a change of scene and all that.
