6 years of dust

Having created an image of the system drive in my laptop, today was the day to take the base off and swap out the old system drive, replacing it with the new (currently blank) drive.
I was surprised at how little dust had accumulated over its 6 years of quite heavy use. After cleaning that out, I swapped the drives and replaced the base.
I was then able to transfer the image to the new drive (using the Linux boot from the data drive) do some tweaks so that it used the full capacity and then it booted straight into Windows without any problems.
A Windows update showed that it wanted to do a repair before it could do the updates to the latest release. All that worked with no problems, so I am now back up and running with a much happier laptop.
