Stifling heat
Managed a walk this morning before it got too hot and took the UV brolly which was a wise decision.
Called in to see Mum and brother Mike. Had a catch-up.
Walked into town then to catch the us home, which was late as usual.
Too hot for gardening. We have had two lots of washing out on the lines and it dried less harshly than it would have normally done in the baking sun due to a breeze.
We watered the pot plants and the newly planted one but nothing else. Filled up the bird bath after scrubbing it out then Terry topped it up at teatime as it had clearly shrunk in level. The bird baths are popular at present.
I noticed 29.3C in the shade at one point today (back garden) and I am hoping for cooler weather again. We were thinking of going to Little Moreton Hall and Biddulph Grange tomorrow (National Trust properties not far apart) but it's too hot for me to want to go.
I know this may not be popular but I'd welcome a bit of rain!
I'll be moaning next months when it's gone cold and wet ha ha.
