Pleach

Today two gardeners were very carefully trimming the tiny plants on the Floral Clock in Princes Street.  They have to lie on ladders to plant them up in early summer and then to maintain the 35000 plants.
Each year a different organisation is chosen for the design of the Edinburgh floral clock. This year the RNIB is marking the 200th anniversary of the invention of braille, a tactile code based on six dots used to represent the alphabet and numbers allowing blind and partially sighted people to read by touch.
The extra shows the clock being made on 2nd June.
