Finishing the oats

Finally proper harvesting conditions! Well, most of the day anyway...

Started by emptying and cleaning the dryer, then brought more fuel from another fuel tank, as it ran out last night. There was no dew, so started harvesting soon after noon and already the first tankful was at 15%. Filled both trailers before emptying the smaller one and getting one more tankful from the home field. Had to empty also the bigger trailer before heading to the more distant, smaller fields with Jussi. Here he is on the first of those. There was a little shower, when he finished this one, but we did the other one anyway, as the moisture had already been at 13-14% before the shower, so a little shower wouldn't be too much of a problem.

I had emptied the trailers to a storage bin, so the dryer was empty, and we filled it with the last load and that one tankful that had been in the smaller trailer. Running the previous loads through the dryer will happen later, perhaps after harvesting the barley.

Jussi's studies at the Tampere University of Applied Sciences started today, though he has been on the maths course already.
