Green Machine

I saw this VW van for sale a couple of weeks ago, then it disappeared. I assumed it had been sold. Guess not, because it was parked back in the same place this morning. When G, Renata and I travelled in Europe years ago, we bought a used VW van in Amsterdam and had a great time driving around and camping. No idea how all three of us slept in it!  We could have sold it for a profit in Italy but didn't have the correct papers, so we drove back to Amsterdam to sell it. What a memorable trip that was! 
So we got the announcement about the road repairs that were supposed to end in August. They've been extended into September. The other repairs that I wrote about in this entry are still scheduled to end next April. Going to be interesting to see how it all works out. I feel sorry for the workers and flaggers in this heat! I did some light  work in the garden, mostly deadheading and cleaning up, and I was dripping. Can't imagine what it's like for anyone who has to work outside just now. So hot and humid. We might get a break from the heat later in the week. Sure hope so!
