A planter for a customer

This planter has filled in nicely since I planted it in early June. I kept a record of what plants I used in the planters for this client for 2024. Things did really well so I used most of the same plants for this year. The client is happy with them. They are low maintenance, very little deadheading required to keep them looking good all summer.

We had a planning meeting for the whale watching trip that I am going on in September. It is almost a 2 hour drive from Digby, where we are staying, to Brier Island, where the whale watching tour starts. We get back from the tour around 4:30 or 5, then the 2 hour drive to Digby and 3 hour drive to get back to Dartmouth. Most of that would be done after dark. Karen is even worse at driving after dark than I am, so it would be up to me to drive. Plus we would need to stop and get something to eat. I am going to call the motel tomorrow and see if we can stay another night.

There is an air quality advisory in place today, due to the wildfire in Bridgetown. This morning there was the smell of smoke in the air when I left for work. Then the wind shifted direction again and the smell disappeared. The location of the fire is about 200 km from where I live.
