The end of the daylilies
These are the last 2 blooms on my daylilies. The blooms started on July 7th, so over 6 weeks of blooms. Added, I do have one extra early bloomer, it started on June 29th. One of the hybridizers here in NS still has seedlings that are blooming. He gets blooms into September.
I added an extra of the job we worked on today. Two weeks ago we were there and started removing the English ivy. Today we worked on removing the roots of it. We also pruned some of the shrubs and edged the beds. We will be back in 2 weeks to spread some mulch and divide some hostas.
This job started when the customer called me to see if we could prune a hedge. The hedge and a couple other shrubs got pruned the first day. The company that used to look after their garden went bankrupt almost 2 years ago. I'm not sure what they actually did, considering the back yard looked like it had been neglected for a few years. The company may have been called 'The Gardener', but any company that allows the ivy to grow up into trees should never consider themselves gardeners.
We still have an air quality advisory but I have not smelled any smoke today. No change in the fire situation today.
