We will have a few
more toasty daytimes before
summer heat will end

I was off to Mission Flats managing to get out there before the sun was up. It's was a comfortable 17 C with a touch of forest fire smoke to give us some colour along the horizon.

Although I was hoping to find an eagle, I found deer instead. At the first curve there was a beautiful doe on the roadside. I drove to the end of the road to get my panoramas along the river. When I was on my way back to the bridge I spied a buck with a doe and fawn. I watched them graze below the railway tracks then they moved up the bank along the tracks. I've always wondered how they manage around the trains. The doe and fawn just walked under the standing freight and disappeared to the other side.

I'm off to my hairdresser midmorning. She and her staff are celebrating the 50th anniversary of her shop. I have a potted plant and a card to thank her for all those lovely years.

I will be sitting with my feet up for the rest of the day. It will be another hot day.
