Capital adventures

Long and winding road

I relearnt my single track road driving skills, been a while. But the scenery was stunning.

Had to hang about waiting for the Iona ferry which has a long gap between 10.30 and 11.45. By the time I'd been round the Abbey it was full in rain. The NTS shelter canned in really useful. The picnic lunch today was sitting in the car in Bunessan. I have no memories of any of these places.

The road back was much less busy than the road to Fionnport but there was a delay as they were felling trees.

It was dry in Tobermory and the sun came out. A bit 'Local Hero's but there is still a phone box in Tobermory but I think a more modern one than where we heard the news about an unsuccessful house purchase all these years ago. It's beside a rare Edward 8th postbox.

Sat around looking at the sea and ate langoustines. The reflections were beautiful.

It was 7 by the time I got back. Food in the bar tonight watching the ferries. Service was haphazard but I wasn't in a hurry.

Swithering about what to do over there next two days.
