Happy Place

Everyone has one, or more, and one of ours is a trip away in 'Matilda' and the small campsite we're staying on in Essex this week just happens to be one of our very favourites.  

All the family are back to work today so we've had a day to ourselves: a slow morning, relax on the bench with my book in the sunshine until the clouds rolled in and we had some fairly heavy downpours.

The sun reappeared in the afternoon and we went to Dedham (Constable Country: John Constable was inspired by the old mill and lock there to create one of his most famous masterpieces.) On one of my few art courses I also tried to create such a masterpiece of the beautiful area in watercolour, but somehow don’t think it will become that famous. The old lock and house still remain but is private so I couldn't get a decent shot but did see these two beautiful Swans on the river bank having a good wash and brush up.
