Sad times
I did BP first thing and had a long chat with lady that I have got to know - at the 'come for coffee' stage. She even suggested I join her bowls team!
Home for shower and change and then drove to M. We had planned walk and lunch but she had walked the dog in the morning so I was pleased it was just lunch. We visited a quirky tea room in the waiting room of the local station. Good joint community/commercial venture. M always asks lots of questions and it felt a bit of a barrage but she does this to deflect talking about herself. However I asked about her parents and her on-going medical situation. I lost my parents over 15 years ago but she still has both parents in the mid/late 80's - her Mother with progressing dementia but in denial, making it all so difficult for everyone. Not sure what the future holds but uneasy times I am sure?
We called into her parents house as they are away on holiday (he still drives to Spain aged 86!!). The house looked a bit sad and unloved and we wandered around the garden picking runner beans and M showed me the tree house with a sign made by another friend around 25 years ago. I took a quick snap as I am seeing F tomorrow and will show her the picture.
Home for a cup of tea and chat with OH who had attempted to get to the care home but the roads were closed for an 'incident'. So he had a haircut instead.
I did a bit of sewing - prototype for next project which needs a few modifications. Bacon Pasta which I had prepped early but it was a bit 4/10.
