Book and lunch
A fellow Blipper recommended Shari Lapena. This book is good. I’m halfway through the last two I have started but one (biography) is full of detail with acronyms and the other is a strange mix of a story with the author popping in to say where she got the ideas from. I’m hoping to finish them both but I definitely prefer the page turners.
Two walks today. The first was a surprise. I passed a clothing shop and decided to see if they had anything suitable to wear to Max’s graduation in a few weeks. The last dress (apart from a sundress I bought at a conference 9 years ago) was for Cathy’s wedding in 2004. There were a few possibilities but I didn’t want to try them on as I was layered up against the cold. The one I preferred had a size which I thought was way too small but thought “what the heck” I’ll try it on. Perfect. So I came home from my walk with a new dress. It is very simple, navy but fits really well.
It was a windy day so good to get the washing almost dried. I did a bit of gardening but find bending hard on my back and I can’t tolerate kneeling for long. So I’m enjoying the book in front of the fire.
