Look out he’s behind you!
And phew, a relaxing and unexpected afternoon. Our friends had to cancel walk and dinner tonight owing to family issues. However, they had a couple of hours between duties so invited us around for tea and turnovers this afternoon. - which was amazing as they’ve been full with family for several days now.
I’d have thought they would have liked a few hours to themselves but they wanted to hear our news and we always enjoy their company and conversation.
The morning was non-stop as we were up at Doreen’s tidying up the garden; mowing and weeding. Will this be the last time? Alongside I was dealing with arrangements for appointments tomorrow for work on our house and Doreen’s house and sending and replying to emails about the sale of both houses.
It’s never smooth is it? We have a resolution for our house which is excellent. Doreen’s sale continues to drag. I was under the impression that a legal agreement between our purchaser, their purchaser and the leaseholder had been paid for. It hasn’t. We were told it would take two weeks. After 3 weeks we’re still in the same position.
It’s 3 months to more since the sale of Doreen’s house was agreed. It could be another month at least or more.
The ukulele got a bashing this evening. Sore fingertips now.
