One of the most amazing cloudscapes I’ve ever seen
We were walking back to the house this evening when I noticed some impressive clouds in the northern skies. I couldn’t get a full view until I got home as there were trees and houses in the way. I wonder what it was like 30 minutes earlier?
From a bedroom window the clouds are still majestic, threatening, tumultuous and totally mesmerising. A declining cumulonimbus storm cloud dissipating as the source of its energy wanes with the setting sun.
A great end to the day which started very early as we were awake by 5.00am, staying valiantly in bed trying to get off. By 6.00pm we gave up and got on with the day.
To say it was a full on morning would be an understatement. At 8.00am I was at Doreen’s to let in a plumber to replace a ballcock and while I was waiting repaired a sticking garage door.
After a HIIT and breakfast there was a constant procession of tradespeople coming to and going from our house. A gas service engineer, an electrician to replace a faulty switch and test the safety of a circuit and a couple of people cleaning and testing the gutters.
Meanwhile we continued to sort and clear the garage, photographing memorabilia and posting stuff on the local community hub. It was none stop as we were also dealing with emails and enquiries. I was glad to sit down to a late lunch!
More positive news on the sale of our house in that we were asked today to provide information about locks, windows and alarms to enable the purchaser to set up home insurance. A little more movement.
