Cricket on the Green
About to start apéritifs following another quite busy day. At the recycling centre for 8.30 with another load from the clear out. This time all my pottery work from CSE Art went in the hardcore bin - pots, heads and relief slabs. Saved was my slip chicken - you’ll see him I dare say.
I took photos of all the pieces and have decided that I’m going to digitise all the old photographs in my possession from the various generations. A project for winter at the flat.
An intermission later in the morning when we spent a couple of hours with another set of new acquaintances over a coffee. I’ve known Graham since 1976 when we played rugby together. Only on passing terms until recently - just as we’re leaving!
After a walk and lunch it was full steam back to the jobs, clearing moss off a flat roof, wiping windowsills, cooking, paying bills, changing a water filter, ironing, deadheading, complaining to EDF…. The list goes on.
We travel back up to Cumbria tomorrow for about 18 days then it’s south again until 26th.
This may be the last game of cricket I see on the Green
