Along The Sloe Lane
On a day of prolonged heavy showers, Ruth and I hit the road foraging near Sue's up in the hills. I took a footpath up towards a secret getaway, a rutted, overgrown track overhung with apples, hawthorn berries -extra -and the fruit of the blackthorn, beautiful blue sloes.
Otherwise a quiet, restful day mostly at home. After a long lie in I sorted some of the spring flowering crocuses. Lunch then out in the sunshine. This evening, after I had a snooze, Jamie came over and cooked some chilli for tea. After running him home - the rain was back - I popped into the evening community session at pottery for an hour. Nice chat, a little glazing and one new piece started. Home for Destination X with Ruth.
