Being welcomed back

Portia is having a wonderful time rolling around on the clothes I’ve unpacked and piled up to go in the washing machine. One of her favourite things. She is clearly pleased to see me back and wants lots of cuddling.
Quite a busy day - a lovely video call with the cousins this morning - then my new U3a book group - we had read quite an old Swedish book - a Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman. A pattern is beginning to emerge whereby I’m always the most enthusiastic about the book. I think I’m a very uncritical reader.
Afterwords I called in on my friend who lives on the harbourside, and had a good catch up. We tried to find positive things to talk about, not that easy at present
I wasn’t able to look at other people’s journals during the time I was away, so I’m very behind, for which apologies. I’m endeavouring to catch up now
