A Cautionary Tale

A cautionary tale in buying from auctions without completely checking something…. This camping wardrobe was not what I thought I was buying!

The listing (check extras to see) was for a portable drawing board / easel. I took a quick look and in a carry bag saw a board, some posts that looked like legs, and figured even if I’ve not got all the bits, I can make a proper drawing board out of it. 

Been after something for a while, and at £15 it was a steal…

Except as I emptied the carry bag it soon became clear it was something else…. Managed to work out how it all fitted together, et voila, a bloody wardrobe…

So, on the plus side Harris thinks he has a new, very tall, bed; and I also picked up some cameras which are slightly better than my (more detailed!) check at the viewing has suggested.

No idea what I’m going to do with the new furniture though! But it’s not as bad as the time I accidentally hit bid and got a massive 70s full dinner set for a tenner.
