5 A Day
I offer this blip of a plate of my “5 a day” in the absence of any other appropriate photo to hand. It indicates my determination give my body the care it deserves. The only other photo available is indicative of my unhealthy liking for all things unhealthy. Being told by the barista (I use the word loosely) at the M&S Cafè this morning that I was entitled to a free coffee , I opted for a hot chocolate with all the trimmings. I know , it’s simply asking for trouble and I am too embarrassed to show you a picture of it. It was delicious though and slipped over so easily, cream, chocolate and marshmallows, the whole shebang.
I was up and out with the lark by 8:30 am which was in itself was a miracle as I had had a bad night , waking up every hour from 2am onwards. Goodness knows what was going on there and so of course now when it’s not yet 2pm I’m falling asleep over the newspaper.
It’s not cold outside but it looks like it might rain, so I’ve talked myself out of venturing out of the door again. I’ve just had a delivery of the book ‘When the Cranes Fly South’ by the Swedish writer Lisa Ridzén which has been recommended as a must read and one likely to make the reader damp eyed. I fear it might touch on things a bit close to the bone. I’ll let you know.
