Sugar Loaf with Candy Floss

Couldn’t resist this title given the top left shot!

After some local Christmas present shopping, would you believe, just after a rain burst here in Copacabana  this late morning, we headed into the centre of Rio to Bar Amarelinho (a classic beside the Theatro Municipal) to try their feijoada in our continuing quest to find a replacement for our old favourite version served at the now defunct Bar 420.  The place did not disappoint in look and feel, attentive service, and wonderful caipiroskas but the feijoada itself fell short on meat quality and temperature!  

Given the coolness and dampness of the late afternoon, we decided on some sofa-lounging and Netflix-browsing, after coffee and cake in Cafeina.

Yahtzee will call us out before the evening is done!
