Cyclamen
Almost 20 years ago the B-I-L gave us a few cyclamen corms to plant in the alpine-like conditions under the lodge's verandah. They settled in happily and spread but what is amazing is that they are also cropping up in the edges of the lawn yards away from these ones.
When I messaged the incoming visitors they asked if the lodge had a chess set. I had left by this time so couldn't look in the games drawer but I didn't think I would have left my beloved wooden Staunton set to be badly handled by children. I would have lent it to these adults but it's packed away somewhere so the visitors said they would pop into town and buy one.
There's me, thinking I provided everything a visitor could need!
